Welcome!

The ACT Rock 'n' Roll Club is one of the longest running rock 'n' roll clubs in Australia. It has been operating in the Canberra region for 25 years. It started off at the Ainslie Football Club which had a venue called "Arnolds". The Club originated from a 50's music appreciation group of Canberra people which rapidly expanded into a fun and inclusive, regular dance venue for like minded enthusiasts. The Club is actively involved in promoting rock 'n' roll in all its forms in the ACT.

The Club provides a variety of dance lessons during the year ranging from the Beginner lessons in Rockabilly and 4 Step. These classes run for six weeks and are held from 7.00pm to 8.00 pm on a Friday night. The club endeavours to run these classes four to five times a year. Intermediate and Advanced classes run for three weeks and are held at various times throughout the year according to demand.

Friday nights social dances may have to be stopped as we are not getting the support that is required to pay the hiring fee for the venue. Please check the "Bands and Events" section to see where the social nights are being held. The Club will endeavour to keep you informed if there is any change to this. This is usually done by email.

The current committee would like to see everyone come out on Friday nights, let their hair down, enjoy each other's company and just have some fun. Life is too short.

Regards,

The Committee
